MY Platform

  • Bethel is in a housing crisis with the average cost of a home in town increasing by 90.2% over the last 5 years (source).

It is nearly impossible to find a place to rent let alone buy a home.

This is having an impact on the fabric of our community as young people who grew up here cannot afford to stay and businesses struggle to maintain a stable workforce.

We have to ensure that people who work here, were raised here, have a community here and want to be a part of this great town are able to stay and feel secure in their housing.

  • The entrepreneurial Maine spirit is strong in Bethel with many innovative businesses building and growing rapidly.

The town must provide support for these efforts to ensure existing businesses are sustainable and new businesses have what they need to get off the ground.

As a town with seasonal tourist booms, our business owners experience unique opportunities and challenges to running a successful business.

With town support and collaboration I believe we can have a thriving economy year round.

  • Community infrastructure is the bedrock of a resilient town. Spaces that we can all enjoy and benefit from are necessary for community well being.

These include institutions like the food pantry, library, and farmers market as well as events like arts and music programming, town fairs, shared meals, and third spaces like Davis Park, trail systems, the Ethel Bisbee ice rink and Valentine Farm.

I believe in protecting and growing these resources for all to enjoy!
