WHY I’m Running…

I am running for Bethel Select Board because because I believe Bethel could be the vibrant heart of Western Maine — a place where business, community, and local food thrive together.

I live in West Bethel on the banks of the Androscoggin with my partner, cats, ducks and dogs.

Last year, I had the privilege of serving on the Ethel Bisbee Land Use Committee. We explored the challenges and opportunities for the town’s last available plot, spoke with community members, heard from over 200 residents, and created a detailed report.

Listening to people’s dreams and concerns — and seeing how much we all care about Bethel’s future — inspired me to run for Select Board.

In small-town New England, our town boards and committees are run by dedicated volunteers who work hard to keep Bethel running.

As members of this community, we have both the opportunity and the responsibility to participate in our local government.

In a time of collapse of political integrity, it’s more important than ever to show up.

If elected, I know that the 12 years of leadership experience I have in staff and board roles from both local and national organizations will serve me well.

I am not a politician- but I am a facilitator, an organizer, and an invested community member who believes in getting things done.
